Bit grim here too in Yorkshire! England is too expensive so your work to live and scrape by unless you are some hot shot lawyer. The summer weather has been lousy etc so no it's not much fun at all!

It's the same as anywhere else - good bits and bad bits. I love it but then I'm biased. Bit worried about the rugby at the moment though!

red lady-bird
Fun, if you like stress, traffic congestion, greed, cold weather, paying heavy taxes, living in cramped conditions..etc, etc, etc,..

idac123

I could never really describe it as being fun. Its cold, everything costs too much, everybody is rude, there is too much crime, the governments a joke.....apart from that, Englands great.

It's a laugh a minute, anybody can come here and we have to give them money housing free medical care in fact anything they want and we have a government that his handing over our sovereignty to unelected civil servants in Europe crime is out of control with children as young as ten carrying guns.. hilarious stuff

It depends on what you regard as `fun`!
England is often regarded by visitors as a very interesting country - and with its old castles and long history, it is.
But our climate leaves a lot to be desired - but then again, living in a very hot country has its downsides too.
Everything is too expensive here..and personally I believe unnecessarily so. Is it based on greed? Why is everything so expensive? (another question for you to answer).
Considering the dangerous environment in many countries today, it also is a relatively safe place to live.

Can be, but wherever you are, it's what you make it!

Fun? OK

We have the highest teen pregnancies
We have illegal immigrants
We have housing shortages (Thanks to Thatcher)
We have countless shops closing down which ends up with high unemployment

So no its not fun...put it this way if I was rich i wouldn't be living here!!

I guess it depends on what part of England you are living in.

Like all countries, there are the nice parts and there are the horrible parts.

Kent, is definitely one of the horrible parts.

No matter where you go it's fun to first go there and to have the experience of living someplace new, but like all places it gets so boring and routine filled. Whether it be England, or some town in the middle of Nebraska.

Platobeenz
Fun every day. Sometimes we have to watch the news because we feel so guilty having so much fun.

The thing about England that makes it fun is the people, all sorts!! Although we are the hardest working employees in Europe, we still have the good old British sense of humour that got us through ww2. And it is also a very interesting country with loads of history and famous historical people. Although it is only small, there are loads of different accents around, so popping over your county borders is sometimes like visiting a foreign country. If you have never been you should visit, I am sure you will love it - we do !!!

Paul
The most fun parts of England are in the North East, places such as Middlesbrough, Newcastle etc. However it depends what you like doing. The North East has the most varied landscape and a good range of different things to do!

Hi
Fun is you and it is every ware you want it, don't be board where you are! GO OUT AND GET SOME FUN, and remember do no harm

'Er indoors!!
I love living in England, but then again I do not live in London, I would hate to live in that dump. I think red ladybird is wrong, where I live there is no traffic congestion, cramped conditions, I live in a tiny house, so my council tax is low, there is very little crime, vandalism, The weather at the moment is crisp and cold at night, and lovely sunshine through the day, perfect Autumn (fall) weather, and the tree's are all beautiful shades of red's oranges, bronze, yellow. Not all of England is ugly, and overcrowded, London is though.

many people keep muttering about this english weather, but don't miss yourself some fun out here. england is a place where there is nearly everything, yes everything. whatever kind of person you are, if you are looking out for fun, iam sure you will have more than needed here. it is of course fun, if you take life fun that is. iam enjoying england like anything, to be true. shopping every week at a different place, exploring new places, enjoying english countryside in the beautiful trains, having a nice food twice in a week in a all new cuisine, what more can you ask for???
