There are many different accents in Wales. I wouldn't class any of them as "funny", anyway not half as "Funny" as Geordie, Liverpudlian or brummie. The south Wales accent was always known as the closest accent to the original BBC accent. They do not drop the "tt"" in butter. They always pronounce "th" as "th" and not "f". They do not put a "r" in the middle of words when it's not supposed to be there,(example "drawing not "drawring") They don't pronounce the "g" at the end of a word when it's not supposed to(example "speaking" not "speakingg") Do you still think the Welsh accent is funny????

the welsh accent probably sounds funny because it's unfamiliar. irish and scottish accents permeate film and TV, so we tend to be more accustomed to them than Welsh accents.
FYI, JRR Tolkien thought that Welsh was the most beautiful language he had ever heard - and based the Elvin language Sindarin largely on Welsh.

I am Welsh. There are many different accents in Wales, I'm from the North.

In case you haven't noticed there are 'funny' accents in England as well.

I think all accents are funny except mine. I'm a Scot.
