Is it true you can swim with dolphins in Scotland?

The usual places for dolphin spotting in Scotland are off the Moray Firth or Aberdeen coast.

But, sorry - no, you cannot swim with them. No companies organise that, the sea is too cold / choppy for that.

However, there are a number of boat trips organised which are worth trying. I can recommend the Gemini Explorer boat trip.

Good luck with the dolphin swiming, they are amazing creatures.

There are dolphins in the Moray Firth just north of Inverness but no-one goes swimming with them as far as I am aware. If you did, you would most definately need a drysuit or wetsuit, as the temperature of the water is about 6C - it aint no Pacific blue water!

There are no organised swim with dolphins within Europe, you have to go further afield such as the States or Egypt/Red Sea.

There are dolphins that swim around the scottish coastline but I would not advise you swim with them for 2 reasons.
First, they are wild dolphins & it would be extremely dangerous. Secondly, the water is absolutely freezing so it would not be a pleasant experience.
