I think these answer are comprehensive proof that people-
A) don't read additional details
B) don't detect the hidden humour in said additional details

Nope, it was clever planning, like Adelaide with Beirut

Kings Cross in London cannot be twinned with a town as it is not a borough; it is in Camden (St Pancras before 1965). Do you mean two stations that are twinned? They are refurbishing the magnificent old Midland Grand Hotel which might help the area, and it is home to the British Library. It has a few things going for it but is rather seedy.

They're the same place, all but a few thousand miles.

I think it is conicidence.

There's also a King's Cross in Glasgow which I had the misfortune of visiting a few years back.

Kings Cross, Gerrards Cross all the placenames in the UK from Yorkshire downward including "Cross" denote the overnight resting place of the funeral cortege of some English queen from the middle ages. Yes, Kings Cross is in London, yes it is a shitehole and are you really surprised given the original settlers of Australia were British that they used the same names. Its been developed at the moment and is in a real state but you never know, re-generation of the area might just work.

Fafao
Yes of course they are! You dummy!

Dry Dreamer
