The LAST English Queen died in 1603. Following this event, the throne of England was offered to the King of Scotland.
So, strictly speaking, the English are subservient to the Scots - a situation that will certainly be the case when Scotland regains its independence. It is likely that independent Scotland will remain a constitutional monachry. |

THERE IS NO QUEEN OF ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THERE IS ONLY A QUEEN OF GREAT BRITAIN (SCOTLAND, ENGLAND, WALES AND N.IRELAND)
SCOTLAND IS PART OF GREAT BRITAIN NOT ONE OF GREAT BRITAINS COLONIES.

THE PERSON WHO CREATED GREAT BRITAIN WAS ALSO SCOTTISH AND HE WAS THE FIRST KING OF SCOTLAND AND ENGLAND |

If you look at the map, Scotland is on top of England.
Joking aside, Her Majesty the Queen is head of state for all of the UK and parts of the old Empire. |

Yes. The Queen is Queen of all of Great Britain. She also is Queen of all the commonwealth states including Australia. |

No, as the Queen of England does not exist. However the Queen of the United Kingdom does govern Scotland.
EDIT: Robo needs to learn the difference between the United Kingdom and Great Britain before he lectures others on it. |

No name.

Scotland is under her majesty Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Or, in short, she is Queen of the UK.
England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland share the same monarchy, the monarchy of the UK.
The kingdoms of England, Wales and Scotland merged together in 1707, under the Act of Union. Northern Ireland joined the union later. That means that there isn't a monarchy for England no more and hasn't been for over 300 years - the same goes for Scotland. |

I wonder if you are aware just how inflammatory and divisive this question really is.
My answer is YES but then I am a white protestant.... I don't support Glasgow Rangers but I do sympathise with the beliefs of the vast majority of their supporters. I also think that the Scots are patently incapable of governing themselves.
This means my answer is YES! God bless Her Majesty. |

The Queen of England is also the Queen of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
She is not the Queen of Great Britain, other than as a part of being the Queen of the United Kingdom. Great Britain is an island.
Scotland never had a queen called Elizabeth before 1952/3, so some Scots object to the addition of "II" in her title. Elizabeth I was Queen of Ireland though and, as Wales was a principality of England, she was also the Queen of Wales.
Elizabeth II is also the Queen of Australia, Canada, New Zealand and a few more, too.
So Scotland is "under" the Queen just as England, Northern Ireland and Wales are. |
