Ferries, from Holyhead & Swansea to Dublin and Cork (Southern Ireland/Eire) or Stranraer to Belfast (Northern Ireland).
The ferries are VERY cheap compared to flying, and you can get drunk in the on-board bar, play the arcades or buy some useless tat in the shop. |

Swimming is always a possibility but it might be just a little bit chilly at this time of year. After all, swimming is supposed to be the best form of exercise, and look at all the money you will save! You would be able to pay for a really good cure for hypothermia. |

You can get ferries from Fishguard, Holyhead and Liverpool. You can also get ferries from Scotland to Northern Ireland, and then get a train or drive from Northern Ireland to the republic. |

By Ferry, the major operators are Stena Line from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire or Dublin, and from Fishguard to Rosslare. Irish Ferries run sailings from Holyhead to Dublin or Pembroke to Rosslare. There are other ferries I believe, including P&O Irish Sea, but i cannot be certain. I Hope this is helpful |

You can either take a ferry on over, or take a cruise over.
I have provided you with a site that will give your information on what ferry options you have depending on what city you are departing from in the UK, and where you hope to arrive at in Ireland.
Have fun! |
