If you have sat your driving test 5 times, you are obviously capable of passing it.
As you say yourself, you can do it when it's you and your instructor.
Just treat the test as a driving lesson, the examiner will tell you what to do, where to go and when to turn, (you know all this already). If you do make a mistake, don't panic, you are allowed some.
You've done it 5 times, you know what to do and how to do it. Don't worry about the examiner, he won't fail you if you do what you do with the instructor. Just keep calm, you'll be fine.
Good Luck.

Blink.
Just relax. Look, if you fail, nobody is going to die, it won't start a war.

Caz
It took me 5 times to pass mine so I understand how you feel!

Just try your best to keep calm and be friendly to the examiner! Smile! :)

I genuinely believe that the better drivers DON'T pass first time. First timers end up being the cocky ones...

You can do it! Good luck!

EDIT: You have probably already done it now... how did you get on?

Orla C
Imagine your tester is on the loo with really bad constipation, I mean REALLY bad .... big red face from straining, the works.

Now, does that feel better, realising that the tester is human too?

You'll get it, don't worry. Just do your best.

The examiner is not a bogey man, just show him you are competent and confident to drive, believe in yourself.

imagine that its just a driving lesson and your instructor is in the passenger, be alert, drink lots of coffee

If you have failed that many times you should stick to walking, or take the bus.

Also your instructor should not have put you forward for your test until you were capable of passing it.

jasonhimself
if you fail tomorrow, change your instructor.

Calm down. It's not rocket science nor the end of the world if you don't pass. We are not born with an intuitive knowledge on how to drive. It has to be learned and not everyone was provided those opportunities to learn at the same time. i didn't get my license till i was 18. May not sound like much, but i don't live in an area with good public transportation and those 2 years were an eternity.

When you are in the car with the instructor, just remember, he's done this thousands of times, there is nothing personal here. He is just looking at your mechanics. Be precise and obvious in your movements and you'll do fine.
