Try this website - thetrainline.com
You put in your ticket requirements - from Liverpool to Carnforth, dates & time then it searches for tickets and you can see info about the changes you need to make on the journey. You can book your tickets there too.

Bus to Liverpool Lime Street Stattion (or South liverpool Parkway) and train to Lime Street. From Lime Street a train to Wigan or Preston and change for Carnforth. I do not think there is a direct service between Liverpool and Carnforth these days

National Rail website is where you need to do a search on

Hugo Fitch
The quickest and simplest way to do it is to get to Liverpool Lime Street station from Liverpool Airport.

The 80A or 500 bus goes direct from the Airport to the city centre.

From Lime Street Station there are direct trains to Carnforth (whose station was the setting for the film classic 'Brief Encounter'!)

Jon
Look up www.nationalrail.co.uk for train times and fares.

Liverpool airport does not have a railway station so you will need a local bus into Liverpool first.

MariaL
Hi you can catch a bus from the airport .The nearest station is Liverpool South parkway. You can get to Carnforth on the train from here.

Use British Rail website - all the info you require will be there. Have fun :)

go on the national rail website, you would probably get the 86a to liverpool south parkway station (or a taxi) then catch a train from there
