I was in LA a couple of weeks ago and I flew via British Airways from Heathrow to the LAX airport in LA. I was flying business and that cost £6000 return but economy would be around £1000-£2000 return (I'm not quite sure)
You could also fly with Virgin Atlantic, American Airlines.
I'd recommend your nearest international airport as there all going to the same place.

You fly with many airlines from Heathrow. We flew business class with Air New Zealand, they were v good.

The last time I flew to London from LA, the best deals were on Virgin from LAX to Gatwick for a direct flight. The cheapest connecting flights were also Lax to Gatwick connecting thru Cleveland on Continental. I don't know if the reverse is true for Gatwick to LAX, but it's Worth a try. Good Luck!!!

If you're under 26 or a student STA travel (www.statravel.co.uk) tends to have good deals on flights. If you're over 26 you can probably still get a reasonably cheap flight. Also check major airlines and see if they have any good deals going (BA, Virgin, Air France, Air New Zealand, American, United, should all fly from somewhere in London to LA directly or through someplace on the US east coast). Travel websites may also be able to give you a cheap fare.

You can get a flight there with various airlines. You need to shop around for the best deals. Virgin Airlines and Air new Zealand fly there as well as many others.
You would normally fly from Heathrow or gatwick to Los Angels main airport (LAX)
You can get return flights to La far cheaper these days.
