your statistic is wrong its actually really low. where are you from? london is very welcoming and thats why people feel at home here.

Because London is a hole, and decent sensible British people won't live in the overpriced boxes that pass for homes there.

Maybe because due to invasion, after invasion, and immigrants coming over since the dark ages we're all foreign to some degree, unless there are any Picts left. We're a nation of foreigners

Because most of Central London is full of Tourists and Londoners themselves either work in good jobs in the City, up in Docklands or other offices that you don't see.
And also Londoners don't really live centrally as its noisy and polluted (and expensive), they mainly live on the outskirts where tourists don't really go to and where they can escape out into the surrounding country side.
OR if they don't LIVE in London, they commute into London as a train ride from middle of Kent can take as little as 30minutes.

The Gimp
Because we have an 'open-door' policy on immigration.

MARDUK
London is like Chicago is to the U.S. Its the major stop point of Europe.

Because its a bloody awful place

Because our government would rather look after the rest of the world on our doorstep than their own native citizens. Why don't we all move to India and let India move to the UK. They will have some serious sh*t on their hands with the overflow.....Just a thought. England is so tiny. Why can't people move to somewhere like France or just stay at home! Call centres are everywhere these days.....and they pay well....

CHConDOT
beecoz netivs make no diffrans then forigens specielee the way they talks n rite

Damn those forigens! Er what are forigens?

kernousse
because someone has to take the jobs english people don't want for rubbish salaries...
Alternatively you can ask, why so many non French in Paris, Non Us in New York/LA, non spanish in Madrid.
Big cities attract people...

Nj
Because people think the streets of London and paved with gold and flock here!

blame it on the guvornment at the time of Enoch Powel,
he did warn them,

Cherry
Because our government love giving our money away and paying for foreigners to have free accomodation in our country.
