You defo have time. take the tube! Camden is best for gothic, young cheap things. I prefer Portobello road becuase it has much less junk. It is more antiquey but still has neat jewlery and things. You have to go to the thames to Bouroughs market of you like food! AMAZING EXPERIENCE!

dave s
Go to Portobello ......... more atmosphere .....and stuff .........

teddy
well it depends on what you are after. I mean antiques or so called trendy clothes? I actually prefer Portobello but for the atmosphere and food, but Camden Market probably has more to offer a young person, with endless restaurants and bars.

David, only a little bit of it went up in smoke, most of its intact.

I prefer Portobello, I genuinely like West London as a whole... ..from Holland Park, to Hyde Park, from the quiet back streets and many 'mews' and squares you can walk around, discover little communities within themselves...

=)

camden, the people there are nicer. west londoners are completely up themselves.

Camden is the market of my teenage years where I could find cool stuff I could afford to buy, bit more atmosphere. Portobello is good for browsing around and also has interesting things but tended to be more expensive.
Now I'm a fancy "young professional" my favourite in Spitalfields on a Sunday near Liverpool Street for arty things.

Camden market is alright if you don't mind the kids trying to be different and trying to draw attention to themselves. I tend to only go when I'm in a bad mood, as if I went in a good mood I'd leave very angry... a lot of the people there are just trying to celeb spot, are very different from the norm (heh)- emos, or beggars

travel_empire
Portobello is the best!

Camden Town is sooooo coloured! And the people are just sooooooo nice!!!! And if you like crazy stuff you definitely have to go there!!!!!

madonna_toller
I prefer Portobello since they have "crazier" staff for sale!

Both are kind of trashy, but I would say you should go to Camden. It's just more classic and famous, and, although the whole area is kind of rundown looking and there's not much that anyone would actually WANT to buy, it's still really good. I love it there! OR GO TO BRICK LANE ON A SUNDAY! amazing.

camden, more stuff. But you shoud go east street - biggest market in london, nice and cheap clothes, trendy, not rip-off stuff you really shold go there

David H
I think Camden burned down the other week.

fiddler
Portabello because Camden smells of fire.
