I am from Liverpool and yet again there are a few answers here that are stereotypical from people who have more than likely never ever been to the City but are jumping on the bandwagon and just coming out with pathetic statements as do a lot of ignorant people who generalise by listening to comedians etc.
I have never stolen a thing in my life and probably 98% of other Liverpool people haven't either.
Having got that off my chest, now to your question.
10 things to do when you visit our City.....
1) Visit both of our wonderful Cathedrals.
2) Have a walk around the Albert dock.
3) Spend a couple of hours in our Museum.
4) Visit the Walker Art Gallery.
5) Spend a day browsing or buying from our wonderful Liverpool 1 shopping complex.
(One of the biggest and best in Europe)
6) Have a meal or two in any of the many really good restaurants in the City.
7) Visit any of the friendly pubs and bars scattered around the City centre.
8) Walk around the City and marvel at some of the finest architecture in Europe. (Make sure you have your camera)
9) Go on a City tour in the Magical Mystery coach....you'll enjoy it.
10) Have a lttle trip on the Ferry or even the Liverpool duck...an amphibious vehicle that tours the City centre and also does a water trip.

I could go on and on but you've only asked for 10 things to do during your stay.
It's a pity you've only got 3 days here in Liverpool because you won't have time to do all the things in 3 days but I'm sure whatever you decide to do...you'll thoroughly enjoy your time here and you'll be welcomed by all the people from this great City.
Best wishes.

Liverpool is a fantastic City and there's tons to do but it really depends what you are into. I'd suggest going to the Beatles Museum and go to the docks too. The contrasting architecture of the two cathedrals is fantastic and the pubs, bars and restaurants have a really great atmosphere.
You cant fail to have a great day.

Liverpool has the lowest crime rate of any of Britain's big cities, there is less car theft than Manchester, less Burglary than Bristol and less mugging than Westminster in London, you know the centre of Britain's tourist industry.

Still we get the moronic comments (I wouldn't embarrass comedians by saying they are funny) with the tired old rhetoric from people who have never been to Liverpool, and who probably live in fear of walking out of their own front door.

If it wasn't so pathetic it might be funny.

I have spent the last two weekends in Liverpool city centre, the place is packed to the gunnel's with tourists from all over the world enjoying the city, and participating in the events for capital of culture.

Why is it that outside of Britain Liverpool has a positive image, but in the UK people can't wait to slag it off?

I put it down to education, there are people in the UK now who seem to wallow in their ignorance and think being stupid is something to be proud of.

There are lots of great things to do in Liverpool from a guided tour of the city on a "duck - bus" (see: http://www.theyellowduckmarine.co.uk/),

to tours of football stadiums (see: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/club/tour.htm).

I would recommend visiting the many historic buildings such as the Liver buildings, Albert Dock, both cathedrals and St. Georges hall.

For lots of idea visit this site - http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/club/tour.htm

You can also take a famous trip on the ferry across the mersey (http://www.merseyferries.co.uk/)
and visit the many museums and galleries (http://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/) the world museum is free entry and well worth a visit!

There are also some country estates that you can visit:

-Speke hall, which is situated close to Liverpool John Lennon Airport (http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-vh/w-visits/w-findaplace/w-spekehall/)

-Croxteth Hall and Country Park (http://www.croxteth.co.uk/)

And even a safari park!! (http://knowsley.com/s_park/default.asp)

There are many tourist information shops in the city centre incase you get stuck!!
I hope you enjoy your stay!

I was just wondering if Stephanie, Zero Charisma, or
Tony have ever been to Liverpool? I don't think so
I am an OAP, and I go to Liverpool alot. and I find
the people there are very friendly, hospitable'
and have a great sense of humour.
I know when you go to Liverpool you will enjoy
yourself, and take no notice of the idiots pulling
this great city down.

Zero Charisma, how very apt, it is morons like this that perpetuate the myth that all Liverpool has to offer is wall to wall scallies and cars minus their hubcaps.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Liverpool is a city full of great warm hearted people, fantastic architecture, some of the best shopping in Europe, and great pubs, clubs and restaurants, in short , a very happening place

angel
anything as long as it carries the risk of a prison sentence lol thats what liverpool ppl do the best nah i am only kidding ppl i suggest going to a information centre while your there because they will be able to tell whats happening closer to where your staying they are really helpful and there should be one right where your staying. i hope this helps
