the wimpy in the arndale closed years ago. the last one i can think of was inside the Parrs Wood ten-pin bowling place but ithink even that one changed name last year

I should be doing something else
I don't think there are any Wimpeys in the UK anymore. I remember seeing the last one years ago in Belfast and haven't come across once since.

Almost all Wimpy Bars those vestiges of 1960s fast food culture - the first soothsayer of the death of sensible diets and home cooking in British life - have now closed; many of their former premises are occupied by Burger King

There is a Wimpy's burger shop on Salford Precinct I think.

There was a Wimpleys in Liverpool Bootle Strand i think it's still open.

The Wimpey in Salford Shopping City, just off Salford Crescent, near Salford Universitywas closed and is a KFC type shop.

I have family who live near Pendleton i was in the salford precinct on Saturday it's where a new shop is now.

You can check yell or thomsons and they both tell you none listed take it from a Salord lass in Liverpool.

the_artfull_dodger81
There is a Wimpey's in Salford Shopping City, just off Salford Crescent, near Salford University. :o)

I've attached the address, third one down.

****In response to Jen W, the Wimpey's in Salford Shopping Centre is still there. It's next to Peacocks. There is no KFC in Salford Shopping City. Are you thinking of the right place?******

redbeardtravels
I've never seen one in Manchester, not in the city centre at least.

Sorry, take that back, Google says there is one in the Arndale, the huge city centre shopping centre on Market Street. It must be upstairs in the 'Food Chain' food court. I haven't been up there in years.

UPDATE - I guess Google is wrong? Sorry, I'm not making the effort to head over and check for myself!
