Wales. Look up the tourist information guide. I think it's got all you are wishing for.
sorry i just realised you said England. i have to think about it - wher in uk are you now?
Evesham - south midlands is on the boarder of the cotswolds, but not as expensive, is on the river and has the vale of evesham countryside all around it which offers fantastic walking and riding. |

Could I suggest Boughton On The Water in the Cotswalds, lots of bridlepaths for long walks & lots of little villages around with many tea shops, I love it there all year round |

Ludlow in Shropshire might fit the bill except although it is on a river (River Teme) I don't think there is any boating. Otherwise its a beautiful town with fantastic architecture and a castle and is surrounded by beautiful countryside - the South Shropshire Hills and Mortimer Forest

Well, really your best bet is to talk to a travel agent, you say what you want from your holiday, how much you're willing to spend, what you want the scenery to be like, how long you wanna go, how far you're willing to travel and so on.. They type a few things into there computer and WALLAH they'll tell you all the destinations that are suited to you! |

Check out www.bayhouselakeview.co.uk, this is in Windermere in The Lake District. Overlooking the Lake, tucked away from the town, but within easy walking distance for the bars, restaurants etc. Fairly reasonable, nice cosy rooms....and I'm sure they take dogs too. Enjoy!!! |

Hey Sis! (dog..luvr)
I think you should talk to a few travel agencies,
they should have a lot of good ideas and advise, coupons and discount tickets. I think you were concerned about a car rental, the travel agencies should know about this also. I read a few good ideas also from other viewers, you might want to check into their ideas, hope you have a wonderful time, be safe, and enjoy every minute of your trip. |

I would never contribute any ideas for you. You are suggesting a weekend of fornication and immorality. I suggest you reavaluate your life and your morals. Thank you for your time and I hope this helps you in life. |
