Moving out!!!!!!!!!!...?

Female 18 uk
This is a really complicated situation basically I live at home with my mum (which i hate) I really want to move out is this possible? I would want my own place or even a bedsit and I would want to move to a different town a couple of miles away. I was talking to her about this and she said you can’t move out because i get benefits for you living with me, this is making me feel like I am only alive to pay her benefits (i hate it)

You are 18, an adult and as such can do what you like without your parents permission. If you want to move out and can afford to do so, then do it.

You should take a pillow and when ur mum is sleeping firmly place it over her head and push.

Aha. Well, you're 18, so legally you are entitled to move out. I would suggest a house share, it's much easier than trying to afford a flat on your own, and a lot less lonely than a bedsit.

Sign on for further education while you're at it.

Well, then just move out and find a place of your own it will solve all of your problems.

yes move out.......why force yourself to live with someone you don't get along with.

samhaj
get a really rich boyfriend and encourage him to buy you a mansion.

mimi-from-CALI
DO WHAT MAKE YOU HAPPY!!! WHO CARES WHAT SHE SAYS!

nikkig813
That is NOT FAIR!!! She lived her life now it your turn to live your life... When I turned 18 my mom stoped getting benefits casue i moved out and made MY OWN life.... You should not feel bad she was able to live her life now its your turn. If she looses her benefits BIG deal... you should look out for what makes you happy cause u obviously arent.

Just_Call_Me_Shady
sure it is, why dont you try property websites and search. http://www.rightmove.co.uk is a good website.

Im in the same situation.

Shelley H
you cant put your life on hold to please someone else....she is your mother not the other way round...you must be in full time education if she is getting benefits for you....and she wont be receiving them for ever.. you must do what is best for you....but do it amicably best of luck

ptrobrn
can you afford to move out? are you going to school?

Might i suggest college and go live in a dorm.

girleegirl_racer
wow. that sux that your mom said that to you! geez. i know in the us you are a legal adult at 18. i moved out when i was 18. if you have the financial means, then please do it! sounds like you'd be better off.

theirs nothing stopping you, go to the council and say that you are homeless, the will put you in a hostel for a few days until they sort out a flat/bedsit for you. your mom shouldnt be using you for her benifits, you do what you gotta do

Hmmmmmm i would try the citizens advice, they will be able to tell you, they have an online advice website now so you dont have to make an apmt, good luck, you mum sounds just like mine xx
