yes because you have to have 6 months left on your passport and your daughter will need one of her own

It depends on your destination. Check through internet, www.britishpassports.com. If you give them your passport number, they tell you everything. Failing that find the embassy of the country you intend to visit (on the net) They will help you. Bye!

If you go down to te Passport Office asap they will tell you the information. I say go down to there because if your daughter is not allowed to be on your passport anymore, then you can get a passport then and there. It will cost a bit more then just applying for one and waiting would but as you go in 3 weeks this would be the best thing to do.

Better play it safe, check with the U.S. State Dept./ Passport Section. Being stuck in a foreign country without being able to get back is no fun.

She MUST have one of her own AFAIK, you had better check that out immediately, if you are quick you can get one back in time. Your own will have less than 6 months to go, so you had better check whether that will be OK as well as some places insist on the passport having more than 6 months on it.

your daughter needs a separate passort... do the check and send service at your post office... make sure the photo's are done correctly... it costs about £40 to get the new passport.. but this is a emergency... and it takes about a week to get them back.
look up the passport website... if still worried..

Iluv24
Depends on what country you're going to. If it's America for example you need at least 6 months remaining on your passport. Just to be safe I'd phone the passport office. I think your daughter will be OK on your passport til it runs out but check.

You can renew your passport by fastrack at the post office and will get it back in about one week, but you have to pay for the service. Your new passport will still expire in December in ten years. Your child may have to have a separate passport.

The Lone Gunman
If you replace your passport after 1st October then you will automatically get added to the ID Card registry, so I SERIOUSLY suggest getting a new passport NOW.
You can go the the Passport Office's web site
www.ukpa.gov.uk
and order the application form.
Once you have that, you have 3 options.
1) Post. This is no good to you as it will take too long
2) Fast track. This costs about £50 and should get you a passport in about a week
3) Go along and get it. This costs £100, but you will have it inside 4 hours. I did mine at Liverpool a few weeks ago and the service is SUPERB!
One thing though. Your new passport will have a "chip" in it. In fact, it is not a "chip" at all, it is an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device). This means that details can be read from a distance without you knowing about it. The government says it can't happen, but it can. I STRONGLY suggest that you get a passport holder and place a sheet of tin foil around your new passport so that it can only be read when it is opened.
Hope that helps
