If you come to the UK to work, and you expect an easy life, don't bother man it's hell, we are the highest taxed people on this planet. Respect to you if you come here to work Sir.
But like half of all the other foreigners that we get here, if you come here to scrounge and soak up our benefits - yeah come on in. EASY life here when you scrounge off the state. I have no respect for you if you come here to free load. |

The UK???? Why the UK???
Would it be because we have a reputation for being a get rich quick country for migrants????
The world is a big place and the UK is an expensive place to live and to be honest there are fewer and fewer jobs because we are a migrant magnet...no offence but I'd stay where you are. |

This is almost impossible to answer in all truthfullness. They always say the grass is greener.... but unless someone has experienced the position you are now enjoying, and tried the same in the UK how can they in all honesty answer you.
There would be nothing to prevent you from trying it because you do have the security of your parents to fall back on but will you be able to regain your position if you return to Brazil?
It really boils down to what you want out of life. You will not enjoy the weather here - you will have bills to pay, rent, travel, heating etc. The cost of living in London is pretty high and takes a fair wack out of your disposable income. That however depends on how much you could earn here.
If I were you I would research the net to find the answers to the questions you need to ask yourself and if you feel reasonably happy with the results give it a whirl.
Alternatively post specific questions and hopefully you will receive replies from people who have the answers.
This answer I know may not be too helpful but it is the best advice I can give considering that your question is non-specific |

Hey your a young chap, single (I assume) so no ties. The world is your oyster, including UK.Take a couple of years off and travel. When you finally visited all the places your heart craved to see you can return to the bosom of your family duly enriched and with plenty of time to make a fortune along with some great memories to relate to your grand children.
p.s.don't listen to the negative brigade, this is a great country just a shame about the populace |

would suggest you speak to your boss and ask if they would consider taking you back in 3months/6months/1 year. Once you've got that confirmed, you have the security of knowing you'll be able to return home and earn money and then... start saving! Because if you're "missing" your "young spirit", why not use the money to have an adventure?
You can save the money you earn each month and go on a round the world trip! That means you get to visit the UK but also means you can visit lots of other places. Even if you just stick to travelling around Europe, you'll still have a great time.
Good luck! |

The UK is bursting at the seams without anymore coming over!!

coome! it may be very expensive as brazilian currency has very little value compared to british money. brighton is a great place to live and in brighton, everyone accepts, and everyone gets along. its near the beach aswell. but buying a house may be expensive near the beach. but anyway if you do, come to brighton its a wikked area!! |

If you don't mind parting with your hard earned cash, then yes come to England, bring some winter woolies because its cold here and rainwear because we are always expecting rain. It is well worth a visit but you might like to make it a holiday first bring plenty of cash with you! |

Are you mad!!!
Uk is one of the most expensive countries on Earth to live. The average wage is quite low when compared to the cost of living. Taxes are high. It is almost impossible to be able to afford a house anywhere in the UK. Whilst there is history in the UK there is not a great deal else. If you want adventure try something in Brazil. You are very unlikely to have a profitable life in the UK. Honestly. |

I think you need to visit the UK as tourist first, stay for a couple of weeks and see if you like it. I love the UK for holiday... very unique with character. If you work in the Uk you will be taxed unreasonably high by the goverment. The goverment will use the money collected for LAZY citizens that claim all sorts of benifits/public funds. Loads of Citizens abuse the system. They are playing with it and they are those people who live happily in the UK and go for holidays often. If you come over to work.. always think that you will be taxed for someone's benefit. Awful system...... This need to be stopped!!!! Loads of people in the UK are looking forward to move somewhere else.... |

Honestly speaking, you have a lot to learn about UK before going there. I'm from Malaysia, and I've got Aunts working in UK wanting to return to Malaysia due to the high cost of living. Yes, I know that UK is relatively safer than in US, but compared to an ousted country like ours, I think that we have a better life here living in the tropics than those in UK.
If you want to go to UK and study, then by all means go. I understand that everybody wants an experience overseas.
However, if it's for the sake of working and living in the UK, start planning for ways which you can get back to Brazil once in a while, or to a more inclining side, save enough for the latter days...
In addition to that, if you want a profitable life, learn international trades of skilled jobs. This is most useful in the UK. One of them will be like my current skill - Automotive. |

Life in the UK is quite expensive.
Also, it's a lot harder than you probably realize to get a visa to work in the UK. Take it from someone who has been through the process. I'm an immigrant here myself.
Have you ever been to the UK? I would never move to a country without visiting it first, personally. That's just asking for culture shock. You've already seen from a few of the posts what the general attitude towards immigrants seems to be here. I like my life in the UK, but the misinformation about immigrants among the general population can be a bit frustrating at times. The ones who are the most vocal about their hatred of immigrants usually have almost all of their facts wrong, it seems. Immigrants do not claim "loads of benefits." We aren't ALLOWED to receive benefits. We are treated on the NHS, but we all have to work to support ourselves. We can't just be on the dole like natural born citizens -- it's not allowed.
The weather may also be a shock to you, coming from Brazil. If you're serious about moving here and you have the qualifications, I'd advise you to visit during the winter months for at least a couple of weeks. Travel around the country -- visit places other than London. One thing I definitely do not like about living here is how early it gets dark during the winter. The "cold" (it doesn't REALLY get cold) and rain don't bother me, but the lack of light during autumn and winter tends to depress me for some reason.
I don't mean to sound negative with this post, because like I said I do actually enjoy my life here. I'm just trying to be realistic, because moving to another country is not something to be taken lightly. Be sure you do a lot of research about what type of visa you will need -- don't just show up at Heathrow and say "I want to live here." They'll deny you entry. |

Stay in Brazil as the cost of living in the uk is very high.
Petrol , booze, tobacco food and not counting for household bills and a mortgage.
The weather is rubbish too, even in our summer it can be cold.
If i could i would emigrate as this country has gone to the dogs, no disrespect but we let to many immigrants into britain, then they claim all sorts of benefits and it is us tax payers that have to pay for them. |
|

I should be doing something else
|
As other people have said, the UK is very expensive, we work long hours and are heavily taxed. If you would like to come over I suggest that you get a three month visa and live here on a trial basis to see if you like it or not, if not, you can simply move back home again.
Good luck with whatever decision you make. |
