On the whole, which county do you find prettier, quaint, and more picturesque: Cornwall or Devon?

'Er indoors!!
It's hard to say, as both Cornwall and Devon are gorgeous. I live in a truly gorgeous village in Cornwall, and I am so proud to tell everyone about it, but years ago, we stayed in a tiny village called Rose Ash, in Devon, which was equally as gorgeous as my village. I know many hidden treasures in both Devon, and Cornwall.

Cornwall, but I like them both.

As a born and bred Devonian, I have to say Devon. The Cornish Coastline may be prettier (on the South Coast), but both Devon and Cornwall have dramatic North Coastlines. I think the Cornish Coastline generally is quainter with the fishing villages, but the inland areas can be bleak. Devon is so much bigger, and has some lovely inland villages, right out of storybooks, and they are far enough from the sea not to be influenced by it.
I wouldn't call Dartmoor, Exmoor or Bodmin Moor pretty or picturesque. There are some quaint places, but mostly it is a grand and dramatic landscape, very memorable.

Cornwall all the way!

I live in Cornwall! love it! better coasts and countryside, prettier towns and to the person who says about the clay pits! they don't look horrible! thr old mining shafts look spectacular in the country side with the sea behind it and the clay pits don't make it look ugly!

and we have the better pasties!

Cornwalls coastline but devons moor (Dartmoor).
Its nice to stand on Dartmoor and view Bodmin from afar
and its nice to sand at Widemouth bay and watch the coast go up into Devon, howabout that.

Cornwall defo

Cornwall was more industrialised, with clay pits and tin mining, so Devon is prettier. But the Cornwall coast is spectacular.
