Depends what you want.
London is a exciting city with lots of history, so much too do. Edinburgh is a great place is visit and is next to some of the most beautiful areas of the UK, and is amazing to visit especially in August or the new year. Belfast is the most friendly place I've ever been too. |

go to keswick or ambleside in cumbria or somewhere like that it's beautiful there, lots of nice scenery. I suppose it depends on the type of holiday you want, but if you want to go sightseeing i'd definetely suggest the lake district (cumbria) |

Leeds. Shopping centre is rejuvenated and great. Local attractions such as Canal Gardens, Roundhay Park, the Armouries. City Centre Hotels generally new or refurbished. Also it is near to York for a bit of Roman history. |

London, although its a pricey place, it really is very interesting. You will not see all in a day or even a week or more at that. I don't think you will be disappointed, and while your there you can also check out Oxford. The Oxford Tube bus runs 24hrs a day, hourly in the small hours and every 12mins at other times. It only take 90mins, and its well worth the visit. |

erm...York (Its not on the list, but is great). Easy Access to loads of places by bus or train, and a great city in itself. Lots of beautiful scenery surrounds the area too, including the Moors & Dales! |

It all depends on what you want to do. London has the sites but is very, very expensive. Suggest you just Google the images for London to get the tourist photos.
If you are after an Historic city you cannot do much better than Lincoln, especially if you want some exercise as they don't call Steep hill in Lincoln Steep Hill for nothing.
I would suggest a hotel that is within the city.
The Brayford area is good for an evening out as it is set on the waterfront. where there is a cinema, several bars and restaurants.
Lincoln recently came third in a competition for the most pleasant customer service from shops, restaurants etc. The Tourist Information Centres and the City Wardens will be able to advise on things to see and do.
All the above does come as a bit of a price. You see Lincoln is off the beaten track and it takes a little effort to get there but when your there you will not be disappointed. You won't miss it just look out for the Cathedral. |
