Mr. Selick

PLEASE HELP! Can you read this???

http://data2.archives.ca/cef/gpc017/656540a.gif

I need to figure out the town in which he was born, though the document is old and the hand writing is a bit hard to read.

I know it doesn't belong to this forum, though I thought some people might recognize the town.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I can confirm that it says "Southampton, Hants England", with the Hants being added later, hence the carat (upside down "v" mark, meaning "inserted").

"Hants" is an accepted abbreviation for Hampshire.

Happy to help!
