I'm from Berkshire. I went to Cardiff once with my friend and when we got to that bridge at Bristol she started sreaming uncontrollably and I had to grab the wheel.

Errm, what else can I say about Wales...my Mum wants to move to the middle bit when she retires, and my Aunty comes from Cardiff although she's lived in Nottingham for so long now her Welsh accent has faded so you can't really hear it anymore, expect when she says 'seventeen' for example, and she puts an emphasis on the 't', which I think sounds a bit Welsh. My Stepdad's family are also from Dinas Powys near Cardiff, although he was sent to school in England so again, it's only through association and he doesn't really have an accent.

Ok...I don't seem to have answered your question directly, rather skirted it probingly, while providing some rather light and diverting anecdotes, so hopefully you won't report me.

All the best.
