I'm surprised Peterborough hasn't made the list yet; the pubs are, without exception, characterless; all the clubs will play the cities signature tune "Lets Do The Timewarp Again" at least once a night (that isn't a joke, sadly it is very true); and although there are plenty of places to eat, if you are looking for anything other than a burger, a curry, a chinese or an italian meal/pizza you can forget it!!

Mind you, compared with some of the other nearby towns (for example, Kings Lynn) it is a lively, sparking and cosmopolitan place!!!!!

Pretty much anywhere in Yorkshire. Hull is particularly bad.
Middlesborough is also dire. Whitehaven in Cumbria is like the world that time forgot. Borth (near aberystwyth in wales) was where i spent the worst weekend holiday of my life, everything was closed by 10 at night and nothing was even open on Sunday!
When you get under the skin of England you soon realise that there aren't many good places to go out to, especially in town and city centres where there are drunken fist fights every night and pretty much everyone seems to have a bad attitude...it's not nice really.

it's full of tossers ... the blokes are a bunch of deadheads and the women are gobshites ... the people there match the town itself ... FCUKIN' UGLY!

Try Burnley - it was a saturday night when I was there and I think the entire population of Burnley was out with me - all 3 of them.

totally agree on hull been there on a stag do what shite tip never go back also Northampton went there when i was a hgv driver parked in the super sausage lorry park had Lady's of the night knocking on my window all night offering me their services got no sleep also the town centre is a dive 1st bar went to was called the welcome bar think UN were missing from the sign outside town centre full of tramps and beggars only parked there twice just stopped every time i had to go there after that
