Watch the bonfire 11th, couple of drinks, go home about 1am, go to bed, get up about 10-11 go watch the parade, hopefully be a good day have a bbq; then go watch the bands come home. Always love the return, watching what everyone bought to wear home lol.

I won't be celebrating the 12th but will be celebrating my birthday & my friends birthday over the weekend. The 12th usually ruins our birthdays as there are certain places you can't go out to celebrate in belfast as people take offense to my very catholic irish name even though majority of my friends are protestant.
People can be very nasty at this time of year

rogerlifescence
No. not this year used to take the family to the boney and then to see the bands, but they are all grown up and no longer have an interest in watching people getting drunk and smashing up their own area.

No i wont be celebrating, and i have nothing against anyone who does go out enjoy the parade and celebrations, but for God sake end the stupid bone fires they are a complete waste of counsel money to clean up afterwards and it's a disgrace that grants should be given for them, put the money towards a good party for the kids in the area

As I'm sure you know, there is traditionally a mass exodus around the week of the 12th. Things are changing, but until sectarian songs, and the burning of tricolours stop, the exodus will continue along its traditional route.
