Are you talking about England as a whole or just London? Most of England is not in any way like London, just as most of the United States is nothing like New York City.
In England and indeed in all of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), you are free to follow any religion you choose, or none if you prefer.
London is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, you can find every religion there. Think of any religion, and you're sure to find some people in London who follow that religion.
In small English towns, however, you're likely to find far less in the way of religious diversity, and more conservative attitudes to religious belief in general.
The atheist slogans have appeared on buses everywhere in England (not just London), and reaction to them has been mixed to say the least. One bus driver refused to drive one of these buses because it conflicted with his Christian belief. |

Nearly every religion know to man can be found in London |

Well, london is a cosmopolitan city, with people from all over the world, so naturally there are large groups of people who follow different religions.
Islam
Hinduism
Judaism
Sikhism
Actually, there are believers in all the different religions in various proportions. |
|

I should be doing something else
|
London is pretty much as diverse as it gets.
Evrything from:
Christianity
Muslim
Hindu
Buddhist
Jewish
Sikh
There are also Athiests, of course, plus Pagans and Spiritualists (Don't think either of these class as religions but apologies if they do)
Hope this helps :D |

London is really diverse and is a multicultural city. There are so many religions it's impossible to list. Basically there are all the main ones plus lots of less well known. If you are genuinely interested in the subject then you might want to visit your local community centre or faith groups to find out more. Plus, Wikipedia is always good as a starting point. |

we have a lot of people from different ethnic backgrounds in the uk so if you can think of a religion we probably have people over here who follow it.
personally i found the london bus slogans quite amusing (there probably is no god so enjoy your life). the response from the church was a bit pointless and sad |

We have just about every religion |

There are likely people from all religions living in England, or at least within the Britain, just as there are in the United States and other multicultural nations.
Funnily though, despite England having a state sanctioned religion, we're actually significantly more secular than nations whose constitution requires a seperation of church and state. ;) |

I would say there is every religion under the sun in London along with a delightful mixture of people. Very friendly and generally happy people around. Lovely. I miss it. |

No doubt that you could add
Satanists and
Pagans
to any list. There are sects of all sorts here. |

Those slogans were a great idea. But they've been combatted by really religious statements that are quite strongly worded, saying you'll go to hell if you don't believe in god.
It depends what you're asking...if it's London, then you can find practically any religion, it's very cosmopolitan and wlecoming to just about anyone. If it's England, then it'll be mainly Christianity in the rural areas, with more religions in the cities such as Manchester or Birmingham.
London and England are two different places you know. |
