Edinburgh people are really horrible, they walk into you on the street whereas Glaswegians are nice and chatty.

Too the guy a few down saying all the bad stuff about Glasgow, it isn't all that way and not EVERYONE is like that, its a stupid stereotype, you get "chavs" and knife crime EVERYWHERE not just Glasgow. Its great actually and most of the people are always willing too help :)

People speak to you in Glasgow. I spent 14 years in Edinburgh and two doors along never even said hello once in that time. Also Glasgow doesn't suffer from the bone chilling east coast fog and drizzle.

Edinburgh is historically Scotland's capital.

The Labour Party, which has its Scottish power base in Glasgow, decided that the new parliament building should be built in Edinburgh.
This means that the Scottish people's elected representatives made a decision, which was one of their election pledges, to ensure that Edinburgh is the capital in perpetuity.

They could have put the parliament in Glasgow. It is too late now.

The fact is that the Glasgow Labour party prefer Edinburgh as a place to work.

It really says it all.

Glasgow is a more common side to edinburgh though, so Edinburgh should remain Capital :)

edinburgh sucks, the best thing to come out of edinburgh is the m8 to glasgow.
to the bloke who made a list of all the bad thinks about glasgow, the outskirts of edinburgh are nothing but high rised hell holes that have a tad more cockroaches than your mothers pants.

EDIT: plus glasgow is the 3rd largest city in the uk where does edinburgh sit? plus most highlander's think of glasgow as scotlands true capital

you mean reason why Glasgow is not better and should not be the capital ,

1. what ever Edinburgh dose Glasgow copy's IE the festival
2 . dose not have cheep transport travel all day on a bus (as many as you want £3 in Edinburgh and in Glasgow £3.50 +
3. dose not have a castle
4 Glasgow dose not smile better
5 there is more people in Glasgow that dose not want to work (IE want to stay unemployed) then the whole of Europe
6 Edinburgh is were the Scottish Parliament is held

all the people Turing down Edinburgh , its not all like that theres parts of Glasgow that you would not even want to walk near at night. Theres lots of friendly people in Edinburgh.
Glasgow is more part of england then edinburgh due to the fact. Glasgow shares quite alot of Englands monday hoildays.

None, because Glasgow is the most ********** place in Scotland, it should be bouldozed over and made way for a better city. Edinburgh rocks and certianly will stay capital.
