Brighton may be the gay capital of Britain, but it's still a city of 300'000 so you will get opportunities for 'straight' hanky panky. I think the RLD is in the streets around Brighton Station. Have a mosey around there, look in phone boxes around the Old Steine and Western Road, where you can find calling cards for numerous red light activities.
The thing is, you probably won't need to. If you a an attractive and confident bloke, you will usually be very successful in the city's many bars and clubs. There is plenty of straightnightlife down there, and plenty of liberal people out looking for someone just like you. Give that a go too.
But please, ALWAYS wear protection! |

I went there once and found lots of "calling cards" in phone booths though I didn't see any ho's and would not recommend resorting to that low down kind of thing anyway.
Hand shandy is much safer, free and you know who your hand was with last night !! Oh, and your hand isn't gonna rob you, give you the clap or any other std lol |

What a load of rubbish some people write.
They've probably never set foot in Brighton.
I was born there - and lived there all my life (so far) and I'm nearly 65 so I think I know the place pretty well by now.
As far as gays are concerned (and no, I'm not) they have brought a lot of colour and fun into the town and contrary to belief, they don't go round pinching little boy's bums or anybody elses, come to that.
Yes, there are a few gay pubs and clubs. In fact I was a Rolls Royce chauffeur for a few years and had to visit them all - and I never had any trouble and no one ever tried to pick me up.
As far as your question concerning a red light district - there isn't one - simple as that.
If it's a prostitute you are after (you can't have much confidence in yourself if you have to pay someone to have sex with you) buy the local paper and in the classified section look for escort agencies.
But have you ever considered the old fashioned way?
Chat a girl up and invite her out?
People still do it you know - and you will enjoy it far more than going with someone who isn't too fussy who they go with.
That doesn't do an awful lot for your ego, you know.
Somehow it's not the sort of thing you can boast to your mates about - "Hey guys - I pulled a prostitute - only cost me 50 quid" |

Kemp Town - mainly St James's Street and the streets around it. Lots of gay boarding houses and clubs etc but if you're looking for something straight you'll find it more difficult. The place seems to be predominantly gay. |

Mate in Brighton you wont need to pay for it. I guess if you are 20 stone dont wash and have greasy hair you will. Just go out to pubs , talk to women , there is a shortage of straight males here (according to the wifes friends) believe me you will get lucky ! |

There is no red light area in Brighton.
There are a couple of interesting adult theme shops and of course bars. Yes there are advertisers for services around, but none that tout the streets as such.
However if you must go for red light and you are in Brighton, London is only an hour away and Soho 15 mins on the tube from there. |

SIMPLE ANSWER NO - I LIVE IN BRIGHTON AND IF YOU CANT PULL A GIRL HERE THEN GO TO PRAGUE - YOU HAVE TO BE THE ELEPHANT MAN NOT TO PULL !
MOST LADIES ADVERTISE IN EVENING ARGUS OR FRIDAY ADD - SO MY MATES TELL ME.
BEWARE BRIGHTON IS NOT FULL OF GAY PEOPLE - ITS ALSO HOME TO VERY NASTY B***T***DS ESPECIALLY AROUND WEST STREET WHEN THE CLUBS CLOSE DOWN - GET TAXIS AT NIGHT DONT USE NIGHT BUS AS ONCE YOU GET OFF THATS WHEN IT NORMALLY KICKS OFF |
