Right can we all just get along now please (UK )?

to the Scottish, It wasn't us that came and killed your people, it was the guys 300 years ago - not us

To the Welsh - we love your music and we don't really think you like sheep to much

To the Irish - hello

so are we friends now? or are we still going to sag off each other for what some stupid idiots done years and years ago

I agree with your sentiment entirely. We are all part of one UNITED KINGDOM. However there are some morons in this country who revel in perpetuating the idea that we all hate each other. There is however room for a bit of friendly interaction between each of our individual countries, as long as it stays, "friendly interaction", (Banter),
Humour is needed in this world. As long as we are able to laugh AT ourselves as well as at others and remember they're allowed to laugh at us too.

So God said to Jesus, mountains for beauty and something to challenge the people, seas and rivers teeming with fish, fertile lowlands where oats and barley will shoot up, and apples will grow in abundance, and under the earth, coal and oil to last them for centuries. Jesus says Isn't this all too much for one small part of an island called Scotland. Ah, well, wait til you see their neighbours!

Its not that easy,English politics affect the Scottish,Welsh and Irish and causes resentment in the same way many resent the E.U.

Um, if that's what you get from people the you should simply ignore them. I'm Polish, I have lots of crap at school but I also have many good friends. It's only their opinion that I care about. When some silly little girl comes up to me and says that 'Oh yeah, we helped you during WW2' (I don't think she knows the story well enough but I won't go into that, however thank you very much Britain this will be forever appriciated) 'and you give nothing back except take our jobs' I just ignore her. Why should I care about what she thinks- not like I hang around with her and my life depends on her opinion, right? So just ignore them and get along with people who are worth it.

There will always be conflict as we tend to stand up for own patch.I live in Yorkshire and am proud of .But I do not hate anyone from another place or another country. Its about being proud about your own patch. But do Manchester United fans get on with Man City Fans,or Spurs fans get on with Arsenal fans? No point is saying to them "lets get on please and let's all be friends" It's rivalry.Always has been and always will although some take it to greater lengths than others

As far as the Scots are concerned, NOT SO.

Within a decade of signing the Act of Union, the English had begun to ignore crucial parts of the Treaty. The English establishment and Law Officers continue to do this to this day.

When, and ONLY WHEN, the English adhere to the terms of that Treaty will the Scottish nation even begin to trust the English.

I have always considered myself to be British and my country the United Kingdom. I, like you, appreciate the separate cultures of the Welsh and the Scots. (We lost Ireland, but I still like the Northern Irish people). What we should do is appreciate our Britishness whilst at the same time celebrate our diversity. And we should start talking our country up rather than continually moaning about it and running it down.

Dont think it will work. Most of get along just fine until the numpties turn up, and feel compelled to reply...and then you get Dr Howab saying "apparently english taxes paying for scottish education isnt enough for wanting to borrow some milk and having the door slammed in our faces" to which I'll reply (tongue in cheek of course)

Just look at what we gave (and are still giving) the world with that education. Arent you glad the money's being well spent..lol.

If only the English pay taxes then where do mine go????
:) :)

In my world, Northerners don't get on with Southerners.

North Westerners don't get on with North Easterners.

Mancunians don't get on with Liverpudlians.

North Mancunians don't get on with South Mancunians.

East Didsburians don't get on with West Didsburians (areas in South Manchester).

... people seem to want to 'celebrate their differences' rather than stand together. It's just humanity; not a pleasant side, granted, but it's life.
