Wooo :D!
Come to Glasgow, it's good.
Or Edinburgh.
Although for a family holiday you might be better off going to Ayr or Ullapool, somewhere like that.
I would describe each place, but I'm tired and you'll find information about each on wikipedia, or just search on google.
You probably already know about Glasgow and Edinburgh though. |

Depends what you like to do on holiday. City break then Edinburgh (Glasgow and Edinburgh are the same distance away when you set of north on the M6).
Small town then you could try one of the ones around Glasgow. For a seaside holiday you could try one of the coastal towns near Glasgow, or one of the nearby islands.
Hill walking go a bit further north - top end of Loch Lomond, and then of course you can stay in Balloch at its south end.
It all depends what kind of holiday you and your family want, when you are going and what you want to do there. |

If you want a central sort of location, Glasgow or Edinburgh would be best. Glasgow's great for the nightlife, but then again if you've got kids then you wouldn't be looking for that. I'd go with Edinburgh for the culture.
Glasgow sucks anyway. =P
(I know cuz I live there.) |
