depends on what you are looking for. I think the people in scotland are very nice and it's a lovely accent. The English are more reserved, but they've got some nice countryside.

Scotland. I found the people to be more friendly and it's absolutely beautiful along the West Coast (Especially Ayrshire!).

Born and raised in England but given the choice I'd prefer to be in Scotland. I visit maybe 10 or 20 times a year and the people are very freindly and it's a a much better quality of life. It seems that in recent years England has really gone down hill but Scotland has, to a large extent, avoided that.

At the end of the day I guess it's personal preference that decides.
