I've been to both Scotland and Ireland numerous times each and think they're pretty much equal. They're both hospitable and friendly people, just don't ever tell one that they're the same as the other! Though quite similar in many fashions, they are both a proud people and don't like being compared to the other. Though the Scots are probably more likely to head-butt you without notice, there's plenty of fight in the Irish as well which, in both cases, is a defining characteristic. What I mean by that is that whether it's in a boxing ring or overcoming oppression, both are determined to succeed at a cause they believe in. You'll generally find both eager to tell you about their country's history, submerge you in their culture and leave you smiling when you part. |

Welsh are the worst-They **** sheep for pity sake. And just to clear something up. The English aren't all arrogant. In fact your are being arrogant by judging stereotypes. We really are nice people. |

I prefer the Irish, though don't mind either.
The Scottish tend to not be as outgoing to outsiders, though in general I've enjoyed their company after a few wee drams. |

Irish by far. Lived in the UK for ten years, including Scotland, and got all Anglicised and was shocked by how friendly Irish people were when I moved back home |
