If we offend all Muslims then so be it. If it weren't for their weird ideals and beliefs a whole lot more people would still be alive, so if they can't keep control over their own kind, then it's time that somebody else did, and if they want to call that racist, so what? What THEY do I call MURDER. If we can stop that from this particular direction then let's do it. Tough luck if they don't like it -THEY started it. Please let's not have the usual old load of bollox about Bush & Co Ltd or religion being responsible - they're doing it HERE so WE should take evasive action, like it or not.

I am asian, but not muslim. I am totally pissed of with what those muslim's were doing.

Being the wrong colour, I end out getting treated as if I maybe one of them.

I am proud to be an british asian sikh, and feel that if you do not follow the rules of this country then you should go back to somewhere that accepts this sick behaviour!!!!!!!

Everyone should be thoroughly checked because Muslims come in all shapes, sizes and colours and don't carry a huge sign on their heads that says "Possible Suicide Bomber". If they did then some of the Airport Security I've seen would wave them through because they're bored sh*tless or too stupid to read the sign. If we get used to a thorough security system and employ enough people to implement it correctly then we will all travel safely and any attempt to disrupt or destroy an Aircraft will be thwarted (hopefully). Also I believe a restriction on hand held luggage can only be a good thing, because some selfish bast*rds try to carry on more bags than I put in the Hold.

And how the F*** do you know what a Muslim looks like? Atleast one if not more of the 7/7 bombers were White, and I didn't know your Passport said what relegion you were. And to the person who said every male passenger should be checked, sure, sit pretty in the knowledge that you are safe, until some woman with RDX inside her fake breasts takes down an A380.

The solution is to install the right equipment- there already exist scanning machines that can detect any form of the explosives that the suicide bombers were using, but they're complex and very expensive. But, can you put a price on human life? And how are the families that have lost someone gonna feel that their loved ones died because the system to prevent them from dying was 'too complicated' to install.

Seriously, y'all and BAA and the government need to pull your finger out your a*ses and realise that EVERYONE is a suspect, and racial profiling is only gonna make things worse, and give the terrorists two things- a) Victory, cause they have caused us to go back on the civil liberties we hold so dear and b) A chance- cause they can use a white woman named Anne Smith to smuggle the bombs onboard and nobody will be the wiser

I think that everyone boarding a plane should be thoroughlly checked. Anyone can be a potential terrorist despite their religion or skin colour.

I wouldn't say muslims, per se, because how do you identify a person's faith? But, middle eastern looking people, then yes.

I see your point but this would be pretty hard to do in practice. I don't have a problem with offending innocent Muslims but the reality is that they don't walk around with 'Muslim' tattooed on their forehead. While you can pick on people who obviously look like Muslims, terrorists will wise up to this and do things like dress in a way to fit in and avoid detection or use Muslim converts who don't fit the usual stereotype (eg the black Jamaican bomber from the London tube attacks).

how many muslims live in this country and respect its law even more than pure locals?
how do you know that terrorists are muslims, apart from the fact that you were told so?

Stop all brown skinned people going through airports, especially the ones wearing beards!

Oh that's right, they are dark skinned with beards.
I'm sure all our friends from Indian, Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea, Fiji.... won't mind too much being categorised by their skin colour. They'll understand completely that in times of emergency you need to victimise anyone who doesn't look like you.
Meanwhile all the light skinned Muslims without beards can waltz right through.
Oh, but I'm being silly, they have their nationality on their passport. So anyone who ADMITS to being a Muslim can be searched. Your so clever.
Meanwhile all the Muslims working to stop these terrorist acts will begin to feel victimised, and all the propaganda they hear from the radical mullahs will start to sound like the truth.

Profiling does exist, and it does work.
At it's best it analyses people who act, talk or wear certain things.
It is the height of stupidity, and a colossal waste of time and resources to check every white male coming from Cambodia to see if he has any kiddy porn.

Before you read what i've got to say I would like people to know that I am an ATHIEST not muslim nor an anti-semite.

The recent news about 20 or so muslims to be arrested under terror laws, I think is a possibility of conspiracy because the MET do not have any evidence or rely on any sources that could get them arrested.
I believe the goverment did this operation to make people forget the war in Lebanon because of the uprising of anti-war campaigns in the country and to make people think that this war is necessary.

IF ALL MUSLIMS SHOULD GET CHECKED THEN SO SHOULD JEWS.

The Jews, America (and partly Britain for backing USA) is responsible for the actions of the radical muslims. If Tony Blair didnt "poodle" around with G.W Bush then I think we would have been in a much safer environment...

in a way i totally agree with you but some of the terrorists are british muslims; recently converted and look just like every john smith. It almost impossible to tell some of the new british muslims apart from a regular british man; so some could still get through. The only solution is for these stupidly safe guidelines or for thourough checks on every single male passenger. Its a tough call to make but id rather be safe than on a plane with terrorists.
