Tell me some reasons not to come to to live in the UK. . .?

I'm Italian and lived in London for some time 4 years ago. I'm 32 now and at times I miss the UK so much that it's almost painful.
Unfortunately it's very difficult to just think of moving back there because I would need a job and a home too. Which in London is unaffordable. Anyway, you Londoners are so lucky!!!

London has a big Italian community, going way back to the 17th Century. You should not worry about buying a house in London. House prices are set to fall slowly over the next year or so. This will be your chance to buy something affordable.

The very first Italian to set foot ashore in Britain was a guy called Julius Caesar, expect you've heard of him. As he steps ashore he stumbles and touching the ground says the imortal line, "I came, I saw, I conquered".

It's dirty, public transport is so expensive and unsafe, people are very rude, prices of food, gas, electricity off the scale, hospitals dirty, hospital waiting lists long, it's crowded and getting worse by the day!! I'm just talking about London BTW!

Everyday's the same again...

it's vile, we are a bunch of xenophobes. well, not all - but quite a lot, added to which are quite a lot of people who actually believe the anti-foreigner trash they read/see in the media.

It depends what you want from your visit. I'm english, but if i could speak another language as well as people who move here can speak english - i'd be gone.

good luck.

It's a giant industrial estate, the parts of countryside that are left cost more than any normal person can afford. So you can either settle for a semi with nosey neighbours (Which you have to work until you're 98 for) or move abroad. X

They couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery or a baggage handling system in an airport terminal.
I'm a Brit, but the idea of going to live in the UK fills me with HORROR.

Its so dangerous because of the young hoodies, lager louts etc wandering around in their gangs attacking the innocent.
Expensive and going quickly up
Rudeness especially on public transport
Of course there aree great pluses but these are negatives you wanted.

You miss the U.K , you can go for a short holiday but don't go to live there. I can tell you 100 reasons but what's the point ? You are so envious of Londoners but may be the Londoners are so envious of you either. After all, who doesn't want to get out of that smelly, dirty, crowded, cold, dark and aggressive city?

Its cold and wet. Come to Australia instead. Where the sun always shines.

I should be doing something else
Ok well I will start off by saying I am actually quite happy with where I live and love my country (Northern Ireland is the part of the UK that I'm from)
But things I dislike are;

The crap weather.
Near impossible for first time buyers to get on the property market.
The state of the NHS
Chavs and general anti social behaviour.
Tax and cost of living.
Absolute rubbish transport (We have only just got new trains, the trains that they have just taken out of service had been running since the 1970's!)

There's a lot that's wonderful about living here, you've read a lot of negative stuff, but if it was that bad we wouldn't have so many people risking their lives for a chance to live here. The weather is variable and interesting. If you just want heat and sun, you have a lot of that in Italy. I think to get the best of the UK you need to not live in a city. But you asked for reasons not to come here, so I'll tell you a few.

It's expensive. It's hard to get an NHS dentist. We are very overcrowded, especially in our cities. The traffic is way too heavy.

Property is expensive...trains are overcrowded and if you have to rent somewhere you'll pay a fortune for anything decent. The grass is always greener on the other side but rarely is it better!
