The uk - what is the worst town?

Okay this is going to be a hard one.. and before you go `oh hes a miserable old man sitting in a dark room` no i am not i am a young happy vibrant person who believes everything deserves a chance and not to judge.
But, after through my job the last 2 years seeing the entire UK from Dundee right down to Penzance in cornwall (granted cornwall isnt that bad ill give you that), i am struggling to find anywhere nice in the uk that isnt super expensive, or 5 hours train away from big cities!

The uk has this stupid political correctness where people stupidly are too scared to even stand up to people who waltz into our country reap the welfare benefits system, and then excpect us to live their lifestyle!

the yobs all over the streets, the fact that if you kill some1, life imprisonment is usualy 5 years with early release if `good behaviour`, the swarm of imigration, the sky high prices and cost of living,.. the uk is a total shithole!

well the question is what is the worst town in the uk.
purely upon a `i cant stand and would never want to live there` basis, id go for birmingham and luton.. two horrible places where you are made to feel so uncomfortable and the places are as run down, as the people running them...
anyone agree? and what are your worst uk places
Additional Details
you dont need to make it a whole speech like me, but please at least add a brief explanaiton why yours is the worst

birmingham

in the papers the guy that killed that young boy got life imprisonment

to be honest if u find uk a shithole why dont you get the first plane outta here:)
"cornwall isnt that bad" in fact Cornwall is known to be one of the most loveliest places in the uk

I nominate Middlesbrough, the armpit of England.

Its sole purpose seems to be to make Sunderland look nice by comparison.

Acai
Hull, or Merthyr in Wales.
But for me, Bridgend is the worst place in the world.

Hmm...it's a shame that you deleted de_instig8ers comment...i would of liked to see what he had put...it's interesting though...this is a quote from your question...." and before you go `oh hes a miserable old man sitting in a dark room` no i am not i am a young happy vibrant person who believes everything deserves a chance and not to judge"...isn't that eactly what you have done with him...i mean how do you know that he isnt a white working or middle class brit with an opinion you just didnt happen to like???...that smacks of judgemental to me...and before you deletemy comment and make assumptions about me...im a hard working white 30 something female who was born in hertfordshire....get a life...people of all nationalities live and work in this country, many of them doing jobs the likes of the middle classes wouldnt dream of doing and good luck to them...white young people seem to be the majority of the trouble makers in our towns and cities...so live with it and get off your high horse!!!

I lived in Brum for a while and got to love the place, especially the locals who love to talk and consider their mission is to beautify the English language.

When I was driving, I went to all counties in England and Wales, but my knowledge of Scotland is sketchy and of Northern Ireland non-existent.

I think the prize for the grottiest town must go to Slough. It wins the prize for depressing post-WW2 industrial architecture and my memory of this place is of endless cars, lorries, vans, glass and concrete.

Anywhere in South London from Elephant & Castle to Croydon seems to be a relentless mush of traffic lights, but this is hardly a town, more a large blot.

Another hideous place was Purfleet in Essex. I was caught there killing time for seven hours while someone was out trying to get a tax disc. It was the sort of place where the pornography was kept on the third shelf down because it was considered high-brow reading. They had one copy of the Daily Mail in case an intellectual passed by. All I can think of when I imagine this place in my head is a large oil tank.

And we cannot possibly forget Hull. It seems that the place really is populated by thousands of John Prescotts, male and female.

Edit - what have we here? A 30-something white hard-working woman... my own mortal enemy who gives her life to excluding folk such as myself from work, family, home, society and anywhere else I dare show my face at. I've lost count of the number of 30-something female HR managers wishing me every future success with my career. Weeping crocodiles the lot of them! As for Hertfordshire, even my satnav cannot say any place name in Hertfordshire except in a silly voice. And we all know satnavs cannot be wrong. It's a place to avoid when going to Luton. Do what my satnav says and go via Oxford.

Middlesbrough acording to location location location i think its called? Haha cant say i disagree I can barely walk through the town without some man harrassing me for change who is clearly drugged up. A woman came up to me begging for a cigarette once because she'd been 'raped'. i've seen two men pissing against a building in the within town centre in the past week in broad daylight!

If the UK was a person and each Town and City were body parts Middlesbrough would be the **** because its a shi*t-hole
