York, Oxford, Wells (Somerset) and Bath need to be included in your list. As they are gorgeous cities which you will remember for years.

Greenlogh you are wrong Wells is the SMALLEST city in England (fact), and St Davids is the SMALLEST city in Wales.

Brechin is getting a wee bit above its station is it not? Along with us and Elgin you're a former city. No amount of documents or royal signatures let the Fair City keep it's city status but I believe Big Eck is planning on returning it soon :o)

And the City of London is apparently the smallest in England. Wells is bigger.

My top 10 to visit would be

Edinburgh

London
Manchester

Spend some time in the countryside too. Our natural landscape is very beautiful and enormously varied for such a small country.

Belfast - if you can get there (there are ferrie trips from wales, england and [i think] scotland)
^^^ they are the four capital cities of the four countries that make up that grand old place Britain -(the best one being wales OF COURSE lol) and all have suprisingly different cultures (and accents)
also id say visit places such as liverpool yorshire, cornwall, devon, bath, bristol, the scotish highlands... ect... if you really want to get a feel for what is truly British (and not just that dodgy accent you hear "british people" speaking on American TV shows - never before heard in Britain like)
