Communting is just fine. I'm 40 mins away on the train from Waterloo and I have to commute to go to University 4 days a week. My Uni is situated at Oxford Circus so you may as well travel, just be prepared for lots of people. Take a book.

If you can afford to pay those prices for a hotel, then stay overnight in a hotel. why make more work for yourself,if you dont need to. Also you cannot guarantee that the tubes will be running on time.

I would stay in a hotel the night before for the following reasons:
1) U dont have to get up as early
2) You can go out the night before and have a nice meal and stuff!! - therefore making it a mini city break!!

Save your money and travel up train.

It depends how far you are travelling. Travelling in to London is horrible in the morning. Where I live, only twenty eight miles from London, it is far easier to stay there or drive in. Commuting is horrid.

Try calling the bellow number.

Betty: 0207 8342765.

St. Leonard's Hotel is the name of her hotel/guest house.
I think the rooms are about £25 per person per night.
Which I think is pretty good for London.
It's in the Victoria area, so close to a lot of places and transport.

Hope this helps you!

If you can afford to I'd recommend staying the night before. Oxford Circus in rush hour is a nightmare.
