UK is part of Europe - politically speaking - but geographically, we are an Island - so not part of a greater continental land mass.

The UK is not on a continent as we are an Island nation. However we are included as part of Europe.

tone
The UK isn't attached to any Continent(by land mass) being an isle, but it is a member of the European Union there for a part of Europe

I can't believe some ignorant sod said - 'it is an island, so it ain't on a continent'!! the UK makes up almost 4 countries! It's in Europe and it has England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. And It's not a stupid question as suggested by some other answers - you may be from the other side of the world and hoping to come here. If you do I hope you enjoy and Visit Ireland too. It's WONDERFUL!!!
