Usually around june/july-ish, but we've had some real summery days already and it's only February, so I reckon it's coming early this year.

bobo_doll

November Rain

Usually no earlier than May if it decides to come at all. :o)

Big-gurl-x
The summer months in the uk is June, July and August but it seems to be getting warmer here already!

Well...June is the month that summer comes in and when two swallows fly in.....but two swallows do not make a summer.

April is when it starts to warm up a bit but I don't think Summer officially starts until May.

There's roughly two weeks in the whole year when the UK gets "warm" - it could be in May it could be in Aug (if last year is anything to go by). I wouldn't call that a summer tho - Summer doesn't exist in the UK!

Officially the dates of the seasons are:
March 21st Spring
June 21st Summer
September 21st Autumn
December 21st Winter
Unfortunately, summer doesn't always remember to arrive.

About Mayish but your name has really made me laugh.Thank you.

Summer in the northern hemisphere is June July and August, in the Southern hemisphere, its December January February.

allabouttheothers
i live in london...and i can honestly say..NEVER !!! it gets a bit warmer around june, but it cannot, by any means, be called SUMMER TEMPERATURE...i lived in brazil, italy and australia....and that's the way summer should be....HOT HOT HOT !!!

Think global, drink local

I think it was Henry VIII who described the typical English summer as "three hot days and a thunderstorm".

Usually during July or August

If last years anything to go by then the summer won't come! Last year where I live in Devon we must've had a total of about 2 weeks worth of sunny weather.

I think your question should be "Which Month IS the Summer In UK".

Semore Butts
Last year it was the 3rd Mon in April so this year being a leap year it should be the 3rd Wed in April

jamtastico
Jan - Cold and wet
Feb - Cold and wet
Mar - sometimes cold and wet but sometimes can be warm and dry
Apr - wet
May-dry and warm
June - dry and hot
July - humid and hot but sometimes wet
Aug - first half of the month is like july second half is dryer and not quite as hot
Sept - warm and dry
Oct - can be warm for the first half but is cooler and windier and wetter for the second
Nov - you guessed it cold and wet
Dec - also cold and wet

As you can see summer can come any time after about mid april, but summer in the uk doesn't usually guarantee three months of sunshine and nice weather.
