You will not to be honest
I live right in the Scottish Highlands in Sutherland basically as far north west as you can go.
We have hardly seen any snow
Aberdeenshire usually gets the most
but typically Jan time |

I don't think there's any such thing as guaranteed snow anywhere in the British Isles, but basically the further north you go the better your chances, so head for the Highlands and you may be lucky. |

I should be doing something else
|
Sorry this isn't what you want to hear but there is nowhere in Scotland (or anywhere else in the UK for that matter) where there is guaranteed snow, but as other people have mentioned, the further North into the Highlands the better your chances are. |

If you want guarenteed snow, go to Antarctica, then there's no risk of having no snow! |

Wouldn't say it was a sure thing in edinburgh where I am from. Only saw one snow flurry this year & didn't really lie. We don't get snow like how we used too here. Global warming & all that! |

I live in the north east of Scotland & it's wonderful to have snowfall at Christmas so the kids can sledge , but not guaranteed. Braemar is sometimes blocked in at Christmas due to snowfall & obviously the Cairngorms are a good choice - Aviemore is like a Christmas village - sparkly lights in the trees & designed to accommodate tourists with a seasonal welcome. Anywhere with a roaring log fire & plenty of Scottish atmosphere - like a good country hotel will make your Christmas special. I find that it is more prone to snow between Christmas & New Year & you can't beat a Scottish Hogmanay! Happy hunting. |

In recent years... nothing like it used to be.
I've seen 3ft of snow at low levels.
This year was an exeption though , with all the ski ranges open. Guaranteed snow in Scotland..... not quite! |

You could try the Cairngorms or up near the Lecht which is near Braemar as that's where the ski resorts are and I can recommend a great hotel near Ballater called Craigendarroch Hotel which has lots of amenities for kids like pool etc. |

I've played in the snow just to cool down, in June, in the Cairngorms. |

I would have thought that anywhere in the Cairgorms would be the place to be ! Try Aviemore for starters ! |

Best head for as far north as you can. I'm 30 SW of Glasgow and it is rare we see snow. |
