Star City - Bowling, cinema, restaurants (near Aston Villa's football ground)
Sea Life centre and the canal side walks - off Broad Street
Bull Ring Shopping Centre
"Think Tank" - Science Museum (lots of hands-on stuff) at Millennium Point.

Think Tank is a must, Sea life centre and you should check out 3 theatres for matinees, Hippodrome, Alexandra, and cannon Hill, which often has childrens productions.
Big choice of cinema at Star City and Bull Ring for shops, China Town and NEC, NIA, ICC all have shows or conventions worth checking out on the weekend you go. If its wet you can try the ROCK face if you want a very large indoor rock-climbing experience as a family with instructor.

The West Midlands Safari Park is the far side of Kidderminster, approx 18 miles west of Brum. Bewdley is picturesque by the River but not a lot to do.
Kidderminster good for shopping.
The Black Country Museum (an open air Living Museum) is at Dudley. Best fish and chips I can remember and a chance to take a canal boat ride into the tunnels.
Ironbridge will keep them occupied all day. Blists Hill is another open air Living Museum - authentic Victorian houses, cottages, etc which have been moved to one site.
Change your current money into Victorian pennies and use them to shop in the bakers, chemist, printers, pub, haberdashers, etc.
If you want to go further afield, you have Stratford on Avon - Mum can shop in Lakeland (!), if the weather is cold, visit the Butterfly Farm, see William Shakespeare's House. There's a good eat-in chippie along near the theatre. Chuck food for the hundreds of water fowl.
Contact Birmingham Tourist Information service and get them to send brochures.

if its a nice day, then theres canon hill park or the lickey hills as mentioned above...they are both great and have play areas and sometimes shows or activities, canon hill also has a mac cinema and a nature reserve.

'Er indoors!!
If the weather's good, you could have a nice walk up the Lickey hills. I was brought up nearby, and always enjoy a walk there whenever we go up to visit relatives.

If it's dry check out cannon hill park (opposite Edgbaston cricket ground). Their is a nature centre there and it is excellent value for money. You and 2 kids will cost you £5 (approx) and the park that it is in is great. Their are some good museums in the city centre. I would agree that cadbury world is not value for money. I went there for the first time last year with my daughter who was 5 then and she enjoyed it. Their is no need to buy chocolate as they give you quite a bit as you wander round.

Have a good visit

not 2 sure...but the cadbury land thing...erm well i predict that the kids are gonna get fairly bored...and u myt have to end up buying them lots of chocolate to make up for a crappy day...that happened to me only i bought the chocolate for myself as i ended up having a rubbish day looking at the cadburys history...although the ride is fairly fun hehe xXx

Birmingham is in England,
The UK is England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland altogether.
