Beautiful Country, the people who have answered you so far don't get out much me thinks.
We have problems in the Towns/Cities but no more than any other country.
We have a lot of Media Hype in this country, it has to be all doom & gloom, it sells their rags eh?

We have some beautiful Countryside try,

The Lake District,
Cotswold's,
Peak District,
Yorkshire Dales,
Dorset,
Cornwall,
Devon,
Northumberland,
North Yorkshire Moors,
Warwickshire,
Norfolk,
Suffolk,
New Forest,
Englands Garden, Kent Countryside etc,

For Cities try,

York,
Bath,
Chester,
Strafford,
Oxford,
Cambridge,
And of course Englands Capitol London, you will find lots of History, Culture, Theatre, Concerts etc etc, best city in the world, you wont be bored.

Go for walks along our Coastline it's so beautiful

When you ask for answers on England on this site, you get a lot of Scots/Welsh answering, and they will put down anything to do with England

IconNick
Beautiful. We all live in thatched cottages in small hamlets close to picturesque towns and take tea and cucumber sandwiches with the Queen on Sundays.

Best of British
"Not another one trying to get in"... Lol

Dreadful, God forsaken country. terrible weather, high cost of living, too many thugs, pikeys, beggars and drug addicts. Better staying put!

Troubled Joe(the ghost of)

Well its cold, and the ppl arn't genrally that nice...No offence to all brits (i am one myself). Its ok if you go into the countryside somewhere but just as word of advice, if you go into a city or town then watch what you say and mind the chavs.

Sweetie P
cold, wet and windy........you'll get used to it though! I'm from west yorkshire..... the countryside.....its abit rough up here! but you'll get used to that too......."garlic bread?"

if youre into hangin' around the streets, gettin' p1ssed and enjoy a bit of drunken violence then you'll have a great time.

No loss if you don't go there. One of the worst place on earth, cold, dark, rainy, expensive, full of racists and rude people. Constant hatred between English and foreign immigrants, shown either through verbal insult or bad attitude. There is nothing worth seeing anyway, most tourists go to see the rotten Buckingham Palace with the rotten royal family.

to sum it up....its cr-ap! Expensive, boring and miserable country run by a bunch of greedy old farts.

There are lots of chavs. It's often cold and rainy and some areas are quite pretty, lots of greenery.

It depends where you are from. Do you speak Polish or Arabic ?

I suppose its a bit like Pakistan, but with free housing, health care and big off social security benefits. If you want to see England properly I'd stick to rural areas.

Depends on what you personally are used to and where your from. If its the US, well the UK is quite different in many ways. The obvious are just that, however its really the subtle little things and in UK terms everyday life that have to be experienced, written words would fail any real concept. One picture is worth a thousand words etc... Its a location thing, you'd have to be there.

don't cut college funds
