What's so special about Irish eyes?

Apparently I have them, but I can't work out how people can tell I have Irish blood in me, I've never even been there!

Its a celtic look, It is quite easy to spot a celt, i.e. scottish, welsh and of course Irish. There isn't even a feature that gives it away, its just there. I'm irish, and even when I'm on the tube or something, I can pick out Irish people. Its strange!

There's a tear in your eye,
And I'm wondering why,
For it never should be there at all.
With such pow'r in your smile,
Sure a stone you'd beguile,
So there's never a teardrop should fall.
When your sweet lilting laughter's
Like some fairy song,
And your eyes twinkle bright as can be;
You should laugh all the while
And all other times smile,
And now, smile a smile for me.

When Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, 'tis like the morn in Spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter
You can hear the angels sing.
When Irish hearts are happy,
All the world seems bright and gay.
And when Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, they steal your heart away.

For your smile is a part
Of the love in your heart,
And it makes even sunshine more bright.
Like the linnet's sweet song,
Crooning all the day long,
Comes your laughter and light.
For the springtime of life
Is the sweetest of all
There is ne'er a real care or regret;
And while springtime is ours
Throughout all of youth's hours,
Let us smile each chance we get.

When Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, 'tis like the morn in Spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter
You can hear the angels sing.
When Irish hearts are happy,
All the world seems bright and gay.
And when Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, they steal your heart away.

They are always smiling. They also have a glint of charm and cheekiness. I can usually tell if someone has Irish blood in them.

Black hair with brown eyes are common
Fair hair and blue eyes are common
Black hair and blue eyes, Irish, are uncommon.
Irish eyes twinkle with the joy of living, the crac.
Their personality is very much better too.
I fact I like the Irish more than any other ethnic group except for my own which is old style cockney.
We have all the different colour eyes too.
And, like the Irish we are friendly.

Cause Irish eyes are always smiling its sounds to me that you are getting a compliment from these people so take it as good thing - for people to conpliment you so much on your eyes they must be nice

You've prob got Red hair and pale skin and/or an Irish name. Most people are just hinting you need a holiday. If you're claiming to be Irish you should've at least stepped on Irish soil.
