What's your absolute favourite spot in London?

Somewhere you could hang out all day. Oh and are there any 'secret' spots you want to give away?
Additional Details
Oh and tell me why you like that spot please. I'm interested because I haven't quite found my favourite place yet (might have something to do with the fact that I live in dreary East London!)

Lee Valley and Walthamstow Marshes. You can almost forget you're in London.
Alexandra Palace for the views.
And the playground in Hyde Park in memory of Princess Di. It's got golden beach sand. But that is one for the kids :-)

i used to live in East London (Hackney) :) miss it loads...anyway my favourite place that i could hang ot all day at is definitely Oxford Street. i guess that's kinda obvious and boring but it's true. secret spots...hmm i can't think of anywhere a Londoner wouldn't know...the markets could be interesting. I'm too much of a tourist to London now

South Bank (well from the London Eye up to about Borough market).. i like it because there's lots of cultural things to do and see, they have loads of free events, there's historical stuff, there's a lot of positive energy, it's by the river, the views are good.. I sort of feel like I'm on holiday whenever I'm there (probably because of all the tourists but they aren't as annoying as they are in central London).. unfortunately I don't have any secret spots..

I could spend a week in the British Museum. I studied archaecology so have an interest in old things. It really is worth a visit.
