I definately agree that the pompous southern accent is the most annoying and the best is the northern acxcent :)

I actually think we have a lot of really good accents, favourites are Geordie, Cockney, Yorkshire, Received Pronunciation, Pretty much all Welsh accents, and the Edinburgh accent.

I find certain Scottish accents hard to understand so although I don't find them annoying, they would be my least favourite, and I also don't like the Scouse accent on women, but I love it on men, which is a bit weird.

It's not British, but Irish but I love the Cork accent, it's so cheerful! Also moderate scouse is quite pleasant I personally find. Not too good with accents though, not being native, but I love whatever David Attenborough's is, or is that received pronounciation? Not sure if that qualifies as a 'real' accent or whether it's constructed, either how I like that!
I find the Belfast accent quite hard to understand and a bit miserable sounding though, which may change though as I am moving there...

I hate the scourers accent. Love the yorkshire accents since i am from yorkshire. I like the Scottish highland accents as well. Like the newcastle accents. Like Bolton accent. Basically the accents get more annoying the more south you go.

Favourite accents like beauty are in the eye of the beholder .It really is a personal choice and fortunately both accents and local idioms survive despite the onslaught of the god television ! Harsh accents like Birmingham , broad " Glesca " , Cockney, Liverpool and the Northern Irish are difficult to comprehend for many people . Most melifluous ? Inverness , Western Isles , Gloucestershire and West Country England and although not British - the Dublin accent .

i hate the way young people speak these days, especially them using the word ''like'' all the time. i also find the east midlands accent quite posh and annoying, quite glum sounding too especially that station announcer at doncaster i love the scottish rural accents(not glasgow and edinburgh) and my favorite is the west country accent its just so friendly and traditional, its a shame young people from the west country now speak posh or cockney):

For me Scottish is annoying if it is strong because I have a difficult time understanding them. Most charming is London and southern England accent as they are quite easy to understand. Also that accent is similar to the mid-west accent from America but more enjoyable to hear.

The potters is the best of course ;) (STOKE-ON-TRENT) =D
Haha

Ok im biased too Haha

i hate the dead posh ones =/

Most annoying is that "awfully awfully" pompous southern accent.

The most charming has to be North Manchester, Coronation Street has made it popular all over the world!!

Sasha
The accents which I dislike most would be, West Country accents, Brummie accents, and Teuchter accents.

The accents I like most are, Glaswegian (I'm biased lol), Scouse, and Geordie accents.
