Magic in her answer above lists all the most gorgeous places in Sussex with one exception which is Kingley Vale National Nature Reserve north of Chichester. High up on the South Downs, Kingley Vale is the largest Yew tree forest in Europe and some of the trees are a couple of thousand years old; as well as the Yew Forest, the view from the prehistoric burial mounds at the top of Kingley Vale is exquisite if you go there on a clear day.
