Heres a tip. Get the No. 11 bus from Liverpool Street to Hammersmith. It passes all the important sites in London and you don't have to pay tour bus price! Welcome and have a great time, it's a great city. And go to the South Bank Centre across the Thames from Embankment tube. Theres lots to see there and free lunchtime concerts plus restaurants (reasonable prices) and exhibitions.
Weather? The usual rain - but that's part of the scene!!

ciao
the weather is not very good, so wrap up warm
there are some great things in the shops at the moment, because christmas is coming, so if you like shopping there is Harrods...
The London Eye is great for all seasons so I would go on that, also the Tower of London?
Buckingham palace is good...you can see the changing of the guard.
Museums are a must do, the science museum, natural history e.t.c.
And for the evening, there are some great restuarants, and maybe a show at the West End?

have a great time!

Art galleries and museums are all free - Science Museum and Victoria & Albert are right next to each other - morning in one afternoon in the other and a stroll in Hyde Park in between - weather is cold and damp.

There is so much to do in London. Just go to the tourist info and pick something

The weather is crap at the moment

Incidently, we will be moving to Italy in the New Year

Check out Madame Tussauds wax museum, www.madame-tussauds.co.uk. You might also like the London Dungeon. It's a bit silly, but fun! www.thedungeons.com/en/london-dungeon/in...

Get the tube to London Bridge, go for a walk along the Thames and go to the Tate Modern (its free entry although you have to pay for some of the exhibitions).

Borough market is close by (but not every day) is like a food dream! Nice place to have lunch. That was one of the best days I've had in London!

Can't promise on the weather, its a bit windy and wet, although has been quite mild for this time of year.

Without knowing what you like it's hard to make original and useful suggestions.

So why not have a look at

http://www.timeout.com/london/

You might even be able to pre-book something you'd like to do.

Visit Central London - the place of all of the monuments, including Big Ben, London Eye, Tower of London, St.Paul's Cathedral and many more...

Have a great time here!

Petticoat Lane and Brick Lane markets on a Sunday morning. Nearest Underground Aldgate or Liverpool Street or thereabouts. Beware of pickpockets and enjoy the show.
At the Northern end of Brick Lane is a 24-hour bagel shop. The hot salt beef bagels are to die for! (£2.30 last time I made it there)

Tate gallery is always good, The Royal festival hall has a free gig, dance music and jazz, I think on Tuesday. The ice skating rink at the Natural history museum has just opened.

Is starting to get cold.
