I'd suggest a guided walk - they're always fun - try www.walks.com. You may wish to try the London Duck Tour - a vehicle which is amphibious - www.londonducktours.co.uk

Dulwich Art Gallery is good. Chill out with a Pimms on the banks of the Thames. Hampstead heath is a good walk that most tourists miss. Good Tea shop there too.

Sit in a traffic jam on the bridge! I think just about everything in London is a tourist attraction these days, just pick one and do it! Splash out for a ride on the wheel, go up St Pauls Cathedral, take an evening boat trip on the river.

For something different I would suggest

South
The London Wetland Centre at Barnes - fantastic centre for birdwatching in south west London

North
The Estorick Collection in Canonbury, London N1 - small chic Italian art gallery, then explore Islington's Georgian squares and fab restaurants

East
Brick Lane and Spitalfields have an amazing mix of multicultural shops, markets and cafes surrounded by some beautiful old buildings

West
Go up to Harrow on the Hill. Fantastic views from the top and the quaint old buildings of Harrow School contrasting with the new Wembley Stadium being built just down the road.

LOL
go to the new adventure playground in peckham and join the fun!

Simon
Take a walk through hyde park if you have time left.

E15
Go the markets. There are good markets at Walthamstow for instance which is very ethnically colourful to the eye.

Go see a show - I live close to London and I regularly do the 'touristy' things like the museums too. But, I recently saw The Lion King - and wow - what a day out that was!

yeah, tourist stuff sucks. if you like museums, go to some. but if you're like me and hate educational stuff, wander round a bit, visiting stores, crossing hobo's and prostitutes, and have a good time. but be warned... i advise non smokers to hold their breath, if ya know what i mean...
