I would say a souvenir of some type. Something to maybe commemorate 9/11? Or something from the statue of liberty? You are correct. Things are pretty much the same in London and N.Y. So I would try to get something "touristy". Like I said a souvenir.

Lol you can buy everything in NY, one thing you cant get in London are guns, there are LOADS of them in NY or you can have your ma have John Gotti autograph a shirt for you or something, It all depends on what you want.

it depends on where she shops. clothes, or accessories for clothes mostly. Or fake jewelery, Caps with logos are cheap.
I don't know what would be cool over there.
