What I like best is that I'm 250 miles away from London. |

Elle the hole of England is great
i think people should stop trying to divide it because it is one nation North and South.
but i love the northern countryside the best |

The people are friendly and actually smile :o)
When i go into Newcastle i feel like im coming home- the vibe is excellent. The quayside is a great place to drink and meet up with friends....
The countryside is stunning and i love the fact that 10 miles one way i have all the best shops and restaurants and 10 miles the other way there are moors, beaches, quaint little "olde worlde" pubs.
I love the names of the little villages that people outside the area cant pronounce, i love our dialect- what a FAB word is canny? and divent, bary, bairns, netty, spuggie, dougal......
I just LOVE the north east :o) |

We tend to have a lot less traffic - oh and house prices are more reasonable (still ridiculously high - but not as high as the south). |

Depends how far North your thinking about......on the other side of Hadrians Wall up here in Aberdeenshire.
It's a good friendly place to be and we certainly have the accents.....just wondering though should we repair that wall ; ) |

people are friendlier, the cost of living is less then it is in the south, I prefer the weather as it doesn't get to hot in the summer... |

Northerners are very friendly and we have some of the most beautiful countryside - the Lakes, the Ribble valley and the Yorkshire dales to name but a few |

not much! good student life and cheap alcohol in Leeds where i am right now but otherwise it's cold and there tends to be a dislike for southerners by the locals! London's the best city in england!!! people talk a strange version of english up here aswell... hard to understand sometimes! |
