What do you think I should do about my BSM instructor?

I'm learning to drive with BSM, but the instructor I got keep on shouting at me if I do anything wrong and sometimes talks down to me. like if i should know better i'm 24 year old. I wouldn't mind if I was 17 or 18 but i'm 24 and should I take this from him. I been learning with him for about 8 months and I go for my test next wednesday, I pay him £70.00 for 2 lessions. I did ask him if i could have 1 hour but he keep saying no i don't do 1 hours and I asked him could I have a break between my lession and my test cause you see i'll be driving for 2 hours with him before my test and all I got was are you ready for your test or not , you know the way he talks does make me mad what do you think I should do about it

not only, dump him but, report him to BSM, he is conning you. He cannot insist on you having two hour lessons. Go to BSM and insist on another instructor, if they don`t oblige, tell them you are going to report them because your agreement is with the school not individual instructors.

If you feel that you are being treated verbally abusive find someone else to work with. Why pay someone you feel is giving you bad service? This equates to paying to be abused. And report him.

Dump him, he's an *** and you're being conned as he can't get the work. I used to be so full that I couldn't fit my pupils in for a double lesson, and a good instructor NEVER shouts.

Wiggly Stuff
I would complain to BSM.

Report him. It's not BSM's policy to speak to learners like that.

BSM are only a franchise, your instructor is no better than any other instructor infact hes proberbly worse by the sound of things.Find another instructor and make sure you get a grade 5 or 6 instructor. Also make sure they offer 1 hour lessons.

Sack him, ask BSM for another instructor, to take over. if he shouts at you again stand up for yourself, and say excuse me you dont have to shout. Im not suprised your doing things wrong if you have got him shouting at you, you are paying good money for this c....p, dont put up with it, perhaps he should consider a career change, he obvioulsy not happy in his job, GOOD LUCK with the test,

Very happily married.

Mkae a complaint, he is clearly a poor instructor and does not have the basic communication skills required for the job.

Madness
I would go with a smaller better company, BSM are huge and most likely arrogant about it all

I was with a Massive company at first (I won't name drop) and a similar thing happened to me I complained and nothing was done about it so I asked for my money back (The remaining lessons) and went with a small firm

They were very nice, made loads of suggestions and even gave me print out for me to read and take in to help me with my theory

Thanks to that I passed my theory 100% and only had 3 minors on my test

Smaller companies try harder as they have to compete against the likes of BSM and can not afford the advertising so use word of mouth and recommendations!

I think you have done well by not poking him in eye for his ill-manered way with you. You pay so you can say what you can and can't do. You could always report him to the test centre. They will put you onto the Supervising ADI and then take it much much further because this man is not fit to teach if he shouts at you. Go for it lad and good luck with your test...

I'd report him to BSM if I were you.

Do NOT take any more lessons with this man - he is breaking BSM's instructor promise of "Being courteous and considerate to you." Report him and ask to be given a different instructor. Don't waste any more of your money on him.

As a BSM Instructor my advice is you complain to bsm and request a new instructor also demand a refund of any lesson fees you have paid. you do not have to take 2hour lessons this is just a bsm sales policy to reduce the number of pupils the instructor is given. you do not have to take a 2 hour lesson before your test either 1 hour is sufficient remember you are the customer who is paying for a service

dont need to take that from a driving instructor especially when parting with hard earned cash.
do your test next week and hopefully you will pass ,if not try an instructor who is recomended to you but hope you dont need to,good luck next week

you should contact bsm and report him immediatly...this is very serious.I think you are paying too much as well. a two hour lesson should be around £40. If an instructer treated me like he is you and shouting at me i'll crash the car and see if he likes them apples.!!!! report him immediatley!!!!!!!

assert your self you are not a child and should not be spoken to in that manner. He sounds like a bully so play him at his own game. Psyche yourself up before you take your lesson, tell yourself he can show me some respect because I am worthy of it and pass your test with flying colours because you can.
Good luck
