i think i'd love to move there one day. the people are nice and the views are spectacular

I lived there for 18months.
I liked some things eg transport systems. (compared to New Zealand it bloody marvelous....trains every 30mins, buses everywhere....even in little towns where I lived)
Shopping was great!! Good selection of food (any stuff i missed I had to buy from the new zealand shop!!)
Proximity ot europe and travel!!!! Loved that so much.
The history is stunning. I loved the little villages and sense of history in old houses.
Central heating was bliss!!!
I loved the Bristish pound!!! great currency exhcange

Things not so hot.
well the weather was a bit up and down....we get similar temps here, but it has quite a few more good days than bad.
on good days it is nice and people really make the most of it and you have to admire people who do anything in crap weather like the british do!
Houses looked tall and skinny, compared to what I was used to and sections seemed long and skinny and ineffienct use of land. Stairs in houses..i slipped down them several times. It was the first house I have ever lived in with stairs inside!
I found i was constantly hassled for my accent, taking jobs etc (despite the cronic shortage of teachers and I did pay taxes too).
I hated being called Australian!!!! 9/10 times grrr. And asked to say G'day mate and crikey!!! there is no spearation of australians and kiwis.
A lot of people were a bit standoffish. I found people who travelled or were from another country or married to someone from another country were the nicest/friendly and most willing to help you.
I also found there were lots of people whereever you went. Shopping at Christmas was appaling it was so busy.(..but hey I live in NZ.....limited bodies here and used to that)

Overall...it was an experience.

Well, I'm an ex-Londoner and have been away for 45 years. But I still think it's the greatest city on earth.... BUT you must have your return air ticket home in yr back pocket

ive heard its very cool.has beautiful country side has hardly any rubbish bins,in london,very historical,and the people are very friendly

im from the uk and i have no problems with living here.The countryside is amazing but the teenagers do seem to drink and smoke a lot.Somethig must be done about it.

well, i think it's okay. the people are polite and the buildings are great, but the whole system(tube, water......) is too ancient. but of course every country has her good side and bad side

Well I've lived in England all my life and I LOVE IT! London is never boring, and is easy to get to because of all the tube stations dotted around the place (would recommend getting an Oyster card for Â£3 as it is so much cheaper in the long run.)
